Property Settlements

The Marysville Borough requires five business days (not including the day you call) for a final sewer and trash bill. Please email all information to sroberts@marysvilleboro.com for the request.

Garbage and Recyclable - Residential Pickup is on Monday

Garbage and Recyclable CAN NOT be put out before 5:00pm on the day before pickup. Garbage and Recyclables need to be out by 5:00am on the day of pick up. Please make sure all trash is put in bags and tied. NO loose trash allowed. If the pickup has been missed at your location, please call the borough office on trash day to have a truck rerouted back to the missed location.

DO NOT put trash in the green recycle cans. The green cans are ONLY for recyclables. If there is garbage in the green cans it will not be picked up.

NO RECYCLABLES IN PLASTIC BAGS: Please do not bag recyclables in plastic bags. Recycle materials in plastic bags will not be collected.(Plastic bags cause damage to the sorting equipment used at the recycling centers. There are many conveyor belts that move and sort the recyclables. Bags will get tied up in the equipment causing damage.)

Residents are allowed four units of trash and one large item a week.

Green Recycle Cans: There will be an $18.00 charge for recycle cans. First-time Homeowners will receive their first container free of charge.

Trash Stickers: If residents have over 4 units of trash in a week, they can purchase tags to attach to additional bags. Tags cost $8.00 each and are available at the Borough Office. You can also order them over the phone at 717-957-3110 (extra processing fees will apply).

Bulk Collection Guidelines

Electronics

Waste Management is not allowed to pickup computer monitors and TVs. Please do not put these items curbside with your trash because they will NOT be picked up. Cumberland County does offer a fee-based Electronics Recycling Center to anyone, as long as the recycling fee is paid to them at time of disposal, it does not matter where the customer lives or whether the electronics are from homeowners, businesses, or institutions. More information about the program can be found here.
